Customer Reviews

This was an experience that was interesting, however, I did have some issues in retrospect. I left my Accommodation in Sea point at 7.35 in the morning And did not return until 7:30 in the evening. This made for a very long Day for a 2 hour boat ride, and about an hour actually seeing the sharks. I was also disappointed that they had to be brought into vision by tossing dead fish into the water and I am concerned that these activities are not environmentally optimal and I have since learned that is extremely likely that the sharks of being accustomed to being fed artificially and I am not sure that this is a particularly good idea. Shortly after my experience, I visited the Aquarium and I Felt That This Was Much More Worthwhile, Not to Mention a Much Less Expensive Way of Looking at and Learning about Aquatic Animals. I Also Discussed This with Some of My Friends Who Had Done This Activity and Each one of Them Said That They Would Never Do It Again and I Must Say That I Do Agree with Them. Having this Criticism, I Must Add That the Workers Were Wonderful, Informative, Enthusiastic, and I Would Hate for Them to Lose Their Livelihood. - Norman

We had a fantastic experience shark diving with Cape Shark Adventures! From the moment we set foot on the boat, the friendliness and professionalism of the staff were palpable. The team skillfully balanced the excitement of diving with sharks and the necessity of keeping to a schedule, ensuring that every participant had ample time in the water. Their expertise and enthusiasm for the natural world shone through, enriching our understanding and appreciation of not just sharks, but other marine life we encountered. Although we didn't see Great Whites (these encounters are now exceedingly rare), being in the water and witnessing Cooper sharks glide gracefully through their natural habitat, mere meters away, was still exhilarating. For those considering this adventure, it's worth noting that, with CT traffic, this is a full-day excursion. Also, one piece of advice is to plan for sea sickness, especially if you're prone to it. The crew is well-equipped with remedies and support, but taking preventive measures can help ensure you fully enjoy your time out there. In summary, our shark diving experience was thrilling, educational, and incredibly well-organized, thanks to the wonderful team. It's a unique adventure that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an unforgettable encounter with nature. - Nichar
